The Core Values Poster and the Robot Design Executive Summary are additional tools that may be used to help facilitate discussion in the Core Values and Robot Design Judging sessions at official FLL events.  Your Operational Partner will distribute the instructions to teams outlining the information to be included if your Region plans to require the Core Values Poster and/or the Robot Design Executive Summary at its events. Jr.FLL Update: Brain Buster, Focus-Focus-Focus, Product Backorders, 2012 Super Seniors Season and more!

LEGO Education is experiencing backorders on some of the Jr.FLL kits.  They are working diligently to clear up all backorders and get you your kits as soon as possible; however some may not be available until the last week of August.  Please get in touch with LEGO Education at 1-800-362-4308 if you have any concerns about your order.

This season has started out with a bang!  A big thank you to all of you coaches out there who have helped to start this season off in such a huge way!  We look forward to this being the best Jr.FLL season yet!!!  If you haven’t already you can download your challenge and coach materials from the team summary page in the Team Information Management System (TIMS).

Welcome to the Jr.FLL Bulletin!

Thank you for your time and effort coaching a Jr.FLL® team! We hope to keep this update as short and useful as possible. In every issue you will find a new Trivia Question or Brain teaser that you can use in your team meetings, a tip for coaching your Jr.FLL® team, an update on what’s happening around here at FIRST® and more!

Focus-Focus-Focus Having trouble getting the kids to focus? Try LSP! Check out the LSP activities here (at the bottom of page 3). They are specifically designed to get kids to see the LEGO® bricks as a tool rather than just a toy. The LSP 8 Pack & LSP Special Activities guide can be purchased from LEGO Education through the link on your registration page. àWhat is LSP? LSP – LEGO Serious Play is a way to enhance team-building and communication skills. It consists of mini-kits containing 51 LEGO pieces and a guide with LSP activities and examples how you can use the LSP pieces to explore challenge theme topics. If you already have a base kit from previous years (or your own pieces to use) you can purchase the LSP 8 Pack & LSP Special activities from the link on your registration page (if you purchased a base kit this year the LSP activities are included).

Things are movin’ and grovin’ around here. With registration in full swing we are excited to see how many teams are joining us this year!
